One of the most effective measures that one can take in making the diet easier to follow is simply to buy only those foods that are recommended and avoid purchasing those that are not. The refrigerator and kitchen cabinets should be well stocked with these foods at all times.
When Dining Out
There are many people who, because of their profession, occupation, or lifestyle, eat many or most of their meals in restaurants. Even so, it is not impossible to have your food specially prepared when eating out. Currently, there are many restaurants that are conscious of individual preferences and win gladly accommodate their patrons by preparing foods according to the customer’s wishes. I encourage people to take advantage of this and make their desires known .
Do the following when dining out:-
• Select foods that are steamed, broiled, stir-fried, poached, baked, grilled, or cooked in their own juices ..
• Order fish, nonfatty fowl, or lamb. Do not order beef, pork, veal, or shellfish.
• Avoid ordering fried, blackened, buttered, creamed, au gratin, or breaded foods and those with rich sauces.
• Ask the waiter how a dish is prepared.
• Request that the chef avoid buttering before broiling, that salad dressing be served on the side, and that low-fat cheese be substituted for high-fat.
• Trim off all visible fat on meats and poultry before eating.
Remove the skin from poultry before eating
My experience with psoriasis leads me to the unquestionable conclusion that it is what you avoid putting into the body, combined with what you flush out, that helps the psoriasis the most. Remember, psoriasis is caused by a toxic buildup. Therefore, get rid of the accumulated toxins and don’t put any more in. These toxins come primarily from the food you eat. It may be good food and expensive food, but it is the wrong food.
