Psoriasis olive oil massage – Olive Oil-Tincture and Myrrh Massage – Myrrh oil uses in psoriasis treatment

by on May 3, 2011

A thorough massage of the abdomen using a mixture of equal parts olive oil (heated) and tincture of myrrh may be one of the most beneficial measures a psoriatic patient can take. Concentrated kneading should take place, particularly along the tight side of the abdomen. This is the area where congestion of fecal matter is most likely to occur. The action should be directed from below, upward along the right side to the lower right border of the rib cage, then left (slowly) across the stomach area to the left border of the abdomen, then down (slowly) along the left side to the pubic area. This action follows the normal path of the colon and will help move toxic accumulations out of the alimentary canal. If this is done thoroughly, a weekly massage may be all that is necessary. Massaging slowly from right to left in a circular motion not only encourages peristaltic action of the colon, but it also helps stimulate circulation to the upper intestinal tract, the site of the thinning walls.

You should know how to do this massage yourself. Lying on their back, knees up (to relax: (he abdomen), they follow the pattern described above. If a sluggish bowel is part of the problem, this type of massage will undoubtedly benefit the patient by enhancing his bowel movements.

Hydrophilic Ointment

In addition to the topical applications I already mentioned, hydrophilic ointment must be included in the list of creams that I have found to be quite consistent in soothing circumscribed lesions. It is simply rubbed into the lesion, as is the Cuticura ointment, and there is no problem of staining. It must not be used near the eyes and, of course, should be applied only externally. It is a nonprescription item and may be obtained or ordered in any drugstore.

It is recommended to use the non-U.S. pharmacy (USP) type, which is soft and creamy (labeled “Differs from USP”). I found this ointment to be quite effective on open lesions but not on the flexural type of psoriasis, which occurs where skin surfaces meet, such as in the underarms, breast folds, and gluteal (buttocks) crease. The ointment seems to irritate these areas because there is no air space. It is most important to keep these areas dry; in some cases, Johnson’s cornstarch-based or talc-based baby powder is effective.

The hydrophilic ointment, if hardened, can be made more spreadable by combining a full jar of it with half a jar of water in a mixing bowl and whipping with an electric mixer on high speed until the mixture has the consistency of shaving cream. This mixture can then be stored in one large container, or it can be divided into smaller jars. In this form, the ointment can be used on large areas of the body and will more easily hold moisture. If the soft, creamy type is purchased, mixing is not necessary.

Hydrating Skin Mousse for skin Psoriasis treatment Of course there are many other forms of treatment that you can try besides drinking, wrapping in clear wrap or using as a shampoo lotion. One such treatment that you can see about using is a skin mousse which includes helpful oils which can soothe the inflamed areas on your skin, hydrate and help to soften your psoriasis patches.

To make this skin mousse you will need a clean glass jar to store your skin mousse once it has been made. You will also pure unadulterated Aloe Vera gel and Jojoba oil as the base of the mousse. To make this skin mousse you will need to mix 3 teaspoons (15ml) of Aloe Vera with that of 1 teaspoon (5ml) of Jojoba oil together until these two substances have combined well together and begun to thicken.

We recommend using an external application - a psoriasis ointment cream which is Dermasis – they are the best in business and also offer free trial so you can check it out.

Once the mousse has started to thicken you will need to add a further ½ teaspoon (2.5ml) of Aloe Vera gel to the mix. Stir mixture until it turns a light cream color that is opaque. This mixture will have a smooth consistency to it. At this point you can add other helpful oils to the mousse or leave it as is. Below you will find a few helpful recipes oils you can use with this mousse.

Recipe oil mix 1:
• 4 drops Yarrow
• 4 drops Immortelle
• 2 drops Spikenard

Recipe oil mix 2:

It Pays to Be Patient

At first glance, all of these applications and procedures may seem to be a lot of bother and difficult to remember. Actually, they are not, Once the ingredients are at your fingertips and the measures are understood, the applications are quite simple to perform-with one additional benefit: the patient can do them at home at his or her own pace. It beats traveling to a psoriatic center perhaps three or four times a week and probably some distance from home. The cost of these items is minimal, and the possible side effects are practically nonexistent. After a while, most people find they do not need all of these measures and can select the ones that best suit their particular condition and circumstances. External applications help rid the body of lesions because the emulsions, especially the heavier salves, seal off the surface avenues of escape for the toxins.

These emulsions will work with any ingredients that can safely seal off the lesions. Circumscribed lesions often disappear equally well after applying substances that are completely foreign to one another in their chemical composition. It is well known, for instance, that surface tar derivatives are very helpful, but so are castor oil, olive and peanut oils, vitamin E cream, and vitamin D cream. To this list of “sealants,” one could even add adhesive tape! The fact is, they all work to some degree. Some preparations are more pleasant to use and have fewer side effects or inconveniences than others do. It is mainly for these reasons that individuals will find one preferable to another.

It is important to remember when using these applications, that the internal toxins have to get out somehow, and unless the normal channels of elimination have been opened up, new routes of escape will develop through other areas ef the skin. (Holding firm to the theory that the toxins are finding their way our through the sweat glands implies that the lesions form because of this toxic exodus.)

It is for this reason that holistic treatment, in which all areas and functions of the body are taken into account, is crucial. Proper elimination of wastes is primary, followed by a diet that is both cleansing and nutritious. The soothing external salves and ointments will cause the toxins to eventually retract and be removed by the now better functioning excretory system, thus helping to prevent further spreading of the disease.
